The SBHS welcomes anyone to join the South Bristol Historical Society in any of its membership categories. Members are eligible to vote on any issues which are brought to the general membership by the Board of Trustees. The Annual Meeting is held in July at which time the officers and trustees are elected by the membership. Members receive the SBHS Newsletter usually twice a year. There are many ways in which members can participate and support the Society, such as attending general meetings, being on hand to welcome visitors at the museum during open hours, entering information into our database to make the collections more accessible to the public, adding new names and families to the genealogy database, and arranging displays. The Board of Trustees generally meets on the fourth Wednesday of the month in January, March or April, June, September and November, with additional meetings as necessary. Members are always welcome to attend these Trustee meetings and can learn of meeting dates and locations by calling 207-315-0558.
